Peter graduated from the University of Stirling in 1993 with a degree in Economics and went on to complete an MSc in Engineering at the University of Birmingham. After three years working as a research assistant and consultant at the University of Aberdeen with Professor Alex Kemp, he joined Marathon Oil as an analyst. Peter held several roles within the company including Business Development for Europe/ Africa and Asset Manager for Angola and Libya. In May 2009 he was appointed Managing Director for Marathon Oil’s UK business, a post he held for three years before becoming Regional Vice President of the company’s Wyoming business in 2012.
In July 2013 Peter joined TAQA’s UK business – a fully integrated upstream exploration and production company, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA). One of the top 10 exploration and production companies working in the UK North Sea, TAQA aims to invest in and build on its existing portfolio of oil and gas assets to create a long term sustainable future for its UK business.
Peter lives in Aberdeen with his wife and three children.

Crawford Anderson is Vice President for the UK Geomarket of Baker Hughes. In this role he is responsible for all operational and financial performance of the UK business unit. Baker Hughes currently employs over 2500 staff in the UK and operates both on and offshore for all the major UK oil and gas operators.
Crawford began his career as an Electric Wireline Logging Engineer with what is now the wireline services product line of Baker Hughes and has held various operational, sales and technical positions over a 28 year career in a number of countries including the US, Germany and the Netherlands. Prior to returning to the UK in 2012, Crawford was responsible for Marketing and Business Development for the Africa Region based in Paris, France. He holds an honours degree in Physics from Birmingham University and is married with two children.
